Snorrastofa provides services and education to visitors in the visitor’s reception. It can be found on the ground floor of Reykholt’s church – Snorrastofa, where there is an exhibition on Snorri Sturluson and visitors are able to get guidance and lectures of varying lengths about Snorri, Reykholt and the middle ages.

We offer tours, talks and lectures of varying lengths on Snorri, the library and the church. Live lectures and presentations for groups are a great addition to the visit to Snorrastofa. Lectures and guided tours are offered in Icelandic, Nordic languages, English and German.
The visitor’s reception has one main exhibition; Snorri’s Saga and his Time but in the foyer we also host exhibitions The Húsafell Stones and Pearls of Reykholtsdalur.
The visitor’s reception has a shop with books, CDs and Icelandic handicraft.
All proceeds go to the development of Reykholt by Snorrastofa and Reykholt’s church.
Snorrastofa has the following facilities for conferences and meetings:
-A conference and banquet hall, seating up to 100
-Three meeting rooms, seating 6-12
-Snorrastofa’s library, seating 50-60
-Parish- and exhibition hall – facilities to serve light refreshments
Snorrastofa has accommodation for Icelandic and international scholars and artists.
